This man is amazing. He has an amazing attitude. An amazing support system. An amazing drive to do what he does. I've been battling IT band issues since Sunday's 16.3 mile run, which I've yet to blog about because I'm mad at my knee for crapping out on me, and I found a lot of motivation in this video.

"If you cross the finish line...you win" - I needed that. Maybe I should get a tattoo of that across my right foot. :)
ReplyDeleteI am sorry about your IT/knee issues. Although my mileage is no where near yours, mine have been giving me grief again, since Monday. MY PT (Painful Torture guy) really helped today a midst much painful prodding and deep tissue massage. He also taught me how to tape the IT band side of my knee and it has helped a little during my runs before I could see him. Here is to hoping that out pesky IT Bands chill out the rest of the race year! :)
O.M.G!! What an inspiration! Seems insane to even want to run 150 miles... But I have to tell you Heather what an inspiration you are too! I've been a lurker for a long time - first on your Weight Watcher's site and now on your running site. I love how real and honest you are. Your perseverance is amazing! You are an awesome athlete. Hang in there, girl - your body has done and will do more amazing things!
ReplyDeleteSimply amazing!
