no matter how slow, no matter how fast
- it will change your life forever.

2013 Goal #1: The summer of tank tops!

I am a woman on a mission.  I'm seeing tons of results in my back (of all places) thanks to the P90X workouts we do in the garage 5 or 6 nights a week.  {Who knew I had anything but loose skin and fat rolls back there?}  Same with my arms.  They are starting to look so toned compared to before.

Thanks to my 80+ pound weight loss over 10 years ago, I have a lot of loose skin on my arms and side-boob area.  Because of this, I'm uncomfortable in sleeveless shirts or tank tops.  Due to A) chub rub and B) being self conscious about the look of everything jiggling around.

The summer of 2013 shall be the summer of looking and feeling good in tank tops!

Getting my pump on (in the garage)

Since lowering my weekly running mileage a while back, for the sake of my knees (who were hating me) for all I've put them through these past three and a half years, I decided it was time to take my cross training & weight training to a new level.  Like Mac (It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia), I've been getting my pump on!

Ronald "Mac" McDonald....getting his pump on!

Last night, I put our crappy little bathroom dressing mirror in the garage so I can check my form as I workout.  (Mirrored walls were something I'd gotten spoiled with when I had a gym membership.)  As soon as I stepped into the garage to start my workout, I noticed a few muscles I hadn't ever noticed before.  In my legs...but also my arms.  I wasn't expecting to see anything different from what the bathroom mirror shows me each day.  What a great treat!  Here's to P90Xing, AKA: getting my pump on, in the garage during the rainy winter months in Washington state!
Me, prepping to get my pump on.  Check out my quads!
After lowering my mileage for a few months & getting my pump on, I should be wicked ready for training season starting January 1st.  :)
